[Please note this is the second Master Class on Jan 27th, read below for details.]*
Calpulli Mexican Dance Company is commissioning a new work by Choreographer Noemy Hernandez inspired by the history of the Battle of Puebla and the wonderful stories by Poblanos told through their dances and songs. In this Master Class, Ms. Hernandez will share background about the dances and will explore movement related to Quetzales and Jarabes Poblanos. Dancers will explore footwork, choreography, and technique-building as related to the content. Dancers should have prior experience in dance. The level of the Master Class is at an intermediate to advanced level in ballet folklorico.
Limited capacity.
* The Master Class at 3:30pm is full. (Thank you!) We have added a second class at 6:30pm. Please only sign up for either the 3:30pm or 6:30pm class and not both, as content will be the same and we want as many individuals to learn about this new work. Gracias!
